The dragon dance, also known as the dragon lantern, has become a traditional folk culture activity of the Chinese nation, and an important symbol of Chinese culture as well. Historically, through dragon dance, the Chinese people pray for peace, harmony, and good harvest.

The Winnipeg Chinese Dragon Dance Group promotes the cultural exchanges of various ethnic communities in Canada and encourages Canadian multiculturalism. The Dance Team’s enthusiasm for cultural dance adds passion and flair to any important celebration (both indoors and outdoors), such as New Year’s celebrations, the opening of new businesses, and various other festive occasions.
